I'm creating some original handbags.
Estoy trabajando actualmente en dos pinturas. Ellas hacen parte de una serie que he venido trabajando ya desde el 2004. Iniciada con Lluvia ácida (der.), luego en el 2005 la sigue Hong Kong que llora 1 (izq.) y 2. Y mas adelante han venido una serie de bocetos y pinturas de pequeño formato.
que habito a diario. Es una ciudad llena de contrastes, inundada a veces de inmensos edificios. Pero mi intención no es hablar de estos muros de concreto, aunque ellos hagan parte fundamental del paisaje real de la ciudad. Es para mi mas importante preguntarme sobre algunos referentes (sociales, culturales, ambientales, etc.) que ella integra, como estos permiten así ciertos comportamientos en el hombre, como ese medio lo rodea y lo afecta.

Oct 6:Inicio de una nueva pintura…mientras que a Living HK 1 se le secan algunas partes….
…empiezo esta pintura con un gran fondo azul, una fuerte carga a la derecha compuesta de un pedazo de edificio y un trapo que cuelga de un cable, este a su vez atravieza la pintura de lado a lado de manera horizontal.
(Éste espacio al lado de la ventana me permite trabajar también…me sirve de mesa auxilia ya que tiene un nivel mas bajo que mi mesa de trabajo.)
Two margins, one at the bottom of the painting and one at the top, border the painting, so that it looks like a film or maybe a scene seen through a window. Both could be true but the second possibility is my actual case. A big window allows me to have a big horizontal view.
Una franja de unos 8 centímetros a cada extremo superior e inferior de la pintura, la delimitan como si fuera una cinta de film o como si fuera una escena vista a través de una ventana…tal caso es el mío, una gran ventana que me permite tener una gran vista horizontal.
I leave a big blue “free” space…which in the beginning wants to give air to the painting, but it is at same time this physical space I miss in real life, we can not forget that art, painting…are in some ways reflections of our physical or intellectual, moral or spiritual needs.
Dejo un gran espacio “libre”…el cual en un principio quiere darle aire a la pintura, es al mismo tiempo ese espacio físico que no tengo en la vida real…no hay que olvidar que el arte, la pintura, son de alguna manera el reflejo de nuestras necesidades físicas o intelectuales, morales o espirituales.

Last touches today and Living Hong Kong 1 and Living Hong Kong 2 are now finished…and this is the result:
