El proyecto “SOCIEDAD ARTE” esta conformado por 15 artistas colombianos
má s. Este busca consolidar un grupo de artistas en la lógica de trabajo de equipo con el fin de proyecta rse tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
Iniciaremos este proyecto con una exposición en una de las salas mas bellas de Medellín, el Palacio de la cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe.

SOCIEDAD ARTE PROJECT- my second exhibition which will be held in Medellin during the month of August.

I have been invited to participate in the SOCIEDAD ARTE PROJECT, together with 15 other Colombian artists. It is a project which aims to bring together a group of artists as a team with the aim of promoting themselves nationally and internationally.
We will start the project with an exhibition in one of the most beautiful locations of Medellin, the Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe.

“Artists from different schools, places and trends form a group which I call Society Art for its diverse and multicultural variety. It is a group which does not separate but which unites in the same family (that of art) different trends of recognition and artistic quality which differentiates regarding expression and quality, where the most important thing is not the trend or paying homage to the critics, but to walk together in the same direction, to make ourselves known by medium of what we do, making exhibits where we the spectators don’t walk and move around an exhibition room but move from work of art to another in totally different exhibits, from figurative and magic realism to abstraction, appropriating from each form of expression what differentiates our exhibitions from others”. Exposición colectiva del grupo de artistas que participó en el Festival de América Latina en Hong Kong 2005 y que ahora se presenta en Medellín.

Esta muestra que incluye obras diferentes medios técnicos como la pintura y el dibujo, es producto de una práctica artística contemporánea de trabajo asociativo desarrollado con el propósito de impulsar el trabajo artístico de los creadores colombianos y difundir una imagen positiva de Colombia a nivel internacional.

Colombian Colours / Proyecto Uno, es desarrollado por Maria Isabel Parra en Hong Kong y Colibrisur Art Project Ltda. en Medellín, en alianza con los artistas Jorge Osorio, Didier Franco y Alejandro Naranjo.

Todos ellos son artistas y gestores culturales que buscan la proyección de sus obras como una iniciativa de empresa particular.La muestra presenta obras de temática diversa, asumiendo el espacio vivenciado de lo urbano; como la motivación que permite elaborar un trabajo significativo en donde es pertinente la reflexión desde el gesto, la mancha, y el color como iconografía de la ciudad en cambio, un ejercicio de memoria y reconocimiento del entorno.

Ganador de la tercera convocatoria para proyectos culturales de la alcaldía de Medellín - Secretaria de Cultura Ciudadana, en la categoría de intercambio y promoción cultural a nivel local, nacional e internacional 2005.

Colombian Colours - Proyecto Uno in Medellín

A collective exhibition by the group of artists who participated in the Latin American festival in Hong Kong in 2005 and which is now showing in Medellín.

This exhibition which includes different media such as painting and drawing is the product of a contemporary artistic practice developed with the aim of promoting art by Colombian artists and spreading a positive image of Colombia around the world.

Colombian Colours / Proyecto Uno was developed by Maria Isabel Parra in Hong Kong and Colibrisur Art Project Ltda. in Medellín in conjunction with the artists Jorge Osorio, Didier Franco and Alejandro Naranjo. All of them are artists and cultural administrators who seek the promotion of their work as the initiative of a particular task.

The exhibition displays different works of varying themes, assuming the urban space that one has lived in, as the motivation which allows one to create a significant work in which reflection is relevant from the gesture, the stain and the colour, like an iconography of the city in change, an exercise in memory and recognition of one’s surroundings.

Winner of the 3rd round of applications for cultural projects at the town hall of Medellín - Secretaria de Cultura Ciudadana, in the category of cultural exchange and promotion locally, nationally and internationally 2005.
