An handbag as a piece of art...
....You remember my last post was on 15th November ... Look the evolution of this project.
You can see now the new photos...
With this project I would like work in design taking advantage of my skills in painting. I design and make hand-painted bags.
These handicrafts bags are designed and painted by me and sewn by a dressmaker whom respects all instruction in the design.
These handbags are quite original. Each of them is an piece of art, each one is unique because each painting is different. These paintings are made as any painting I do. They are prepared as any canvas before painting and high quality paints are used.
Each bag also has a unique jewel accessory made by a colleague jeweler.
On 5th December 2006 in the Conrad Hotel (Pacific Place - Hong-Kong - Christmas sale) I will be showing and selling my new bags collection.

Some precautions to help preserve this artwork."This hand made bag is composed of good quality fabric with original and unique painting and jewels.
The artwork is inspired by recent paintings by Maria Isabel Parra.
The preparation of the fabric and the technique are the same as those used in creating a canvas.
The painting should not come into contact with chemicals. Avoid contact with water and prolonged exposure to the sun. Wash by hand and gently iron with a cool iron without touching painting."
